To mark 50 years of Pink Floyd releasing world - changing music, The Sword guitarist Kyle Shutt has crafted a heavy - hitting metal cover of their iconic album, The Dark Side of the Moon. Named Doom Side of the Moon, the band and album star Shutt along with a lineup of well - known musicians. This includes his Sword bandmates, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago Vela III, vocalist Alex Marrero (Brownout / Brown Sabbath), saxophonist Jason Frey (Black Joe Lewis / Hard Proof), and keyboardist Joe Cornetti (Croy & The Boys). Engineered and mixed by Stuart Sikes (White Stripes, Rocket From The Crypt), the LP drops on August 4, the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. It also features artwork by Christopher Schultz. The custom packaging has a die - cut front panel and a matte UV coating.
