This is a limited edition jewelcase CD titled 'Origin' by Antropofagus. The album was recorded, engineered, and mixed at MK2 Recording Studio by the band's drummer, Davide Billia (ex-Hour Of Penance, Beheaded), and mastered at Hertz Studio by Wojtek Wieslawski (Vader, Behemoth, Decapitated). The cover art and layout were designed by Stefano Mattioni. 'Origin' features guest appearances from Mick Montaguti (Electrocution), Matt Sotelo (Decrepit Birth), and Dallas Toler-Wade (Narcotic Wasteland, ex-Nile). Antropofagus plays complex, technical, and brutal death metal. Inspired by bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Deeds Of Flesh, the band formed nearly 25 years ago. Before 'Origin', their previous albums were 'No Waste Of Flesh' (1999), 'Architecture of Lust' (2012), and 'M.O.R.T.E.' (2017). The album has a new lineup with vocalist Paolo Chiti, guitarist Francesco 'Meatgrinder' Montesanti, and bassist Jacopo Rossi (Dark Lunacy). Francesco Montesanti thinks 'Origin' is the band's most complete album. Thanks to the pandemic, they had time to work at their own pace and created a fast - paced album that keeps its energy. The lyrics by Paolo Chiti are inspired by various dark sources like Lovecraft's Necronomicon, mythologies, and horror movies. The tracklist includes 'Origin', 'Downward the Spiral', and more.
