Akron, Ohio's post - rock band If These Trees Could Talk started in 2005 as an instrumental project in Zack Kelly's basement during college. They released their first EP in 2006 and the full - length album 'Above the Earth, Below the Sky' in 2009, both independently. Vinyl was released via The Mylene Sheath. Their 2012 release 'Red Forest' was a huge success. It was self - produced, engineered, and mixed by Zack Kelly and Rick Fuller at NEMeadow Studios in Bath, OH. Will Putney mastered it, and Charlie Wagers handled art direction. After its release, they had a sold - out European tour and got their music licensed for games and films. Their music has been heard in Sony PS3 titles, on major TV networks, and at festivals. By 2014, they started working on their third full - length album and signed with Metal Blade Records. In 2015, Metal Blade will re - issue both 'Above the Earth, Below the Sky' and 'Red Forest' on CD, as they are currently out of print. Metal Blade Records item #153572.
