Since its start in 2004, Blodhemn has been passionately pushing the boundaries of Black Metal with a unique concept and an intense style. Invisus, the sole member, has once again played all the instruments and handled the vocals for the fourth Blodhemn album, “Sverger Hemn”. This album is the fruit of a long production process and years of songwriting. Throughout the entire Blodhemn collection, there are recurring themes like drowning, being claimed by the sea, and stories centered around Holmengraa on Fedje in Norway, which continue in “Sverger Hemn”. Keen listeners will notice connections in both the music and visual elements. “Sverger Hemn” stays true to Blodhemn's distinctively aggressive sound, but on a few tracks, Invisus steps out of his comfort zone with different vocal styles and keyboards, exploring new elements and themes. The outcome is a wonderful blend of black metal and thrash, with a touch of rock’n’roll.
