Napoli Violenta Neapolitan Powerviolence CD

Napoli Violenta emerged in 2018 in the Neapolitan hinterland. It's a project by four veterans of the Neapolitan Metal / HC Punk scene, their identities kept secret. The idea was to blend Poliziottesco and Grindcore. One is a cinematic genre with a vivid imaginary, and the other is a musical genre with an intense attitude. These two revolutions, though separated in time and space, share common traits: cynicism, notoriety, and violence. The project takes its name from the 1976 Umberto Lenzi - directed film 'Napoli Violenta', the second chapter of the 'trilogia commissario Betti' starring Maurizio Merli and with a Franco Micalizzi soundtrack. It draws inspiration from the early grindcore of Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Carcass, Extreme Noise Terror, and Brutal Truth. The logo is a great example of 'pezzotto' (fugazi art), a conceptual and sonic homage to the genre. With a fun - loving spirit and sarcasm, it sings in Napulenglish.
