German metal scene usually has Germans excelling in power metal and Swedes in melodic death metal. But Fragments of Unbecoming from Laudenbach, Germany, breaks the mold. This melodic death metal band with black - metal elements, like heavy use of blastbeats, formed in 2000. Members include Stefan Weimar (vocals/guitar), Sascha Ehrich (guitar), Wolle Schellenberg (bass), and Ingo Maier (drums). They landed a deal with Metal Blade Records after their 2002 demo, Bloodred Tales: The Crimson Season.
