Product Description

Moonwalks' 'Western Mystery Tradition' comes on a 12-inch, 180-gram ultra-clear vinyl. This third studio album from the Detroit - via - Brooklyn outfit is set for release on May 26th through Fuzz Club. It marks a shift from the band's DIY psych - rock beginnings to a more refined sound. Produced by Mattiel’s Jonah Swilley, it was recorded in May 2019 at Detroit’s well - known (and rumored haunted) Masonic Temple with Bill Skibbe (Jack White, The Kills) in a lodge of the Free Masons’ Detroit chapter. Moonwalks remembers the album's origin: 'In the winter of 2019 during a polar vortex in Detroit, we lived in a west - side house with no working stove and half of it without power. Trapped indoors due to freezing temperatures and heavy snow, we drew inspiration from our isolated state in the harsh Michigan winter.' Comprising Kerrigan Pearce (drums), Jacob Dean (guitar), and Kate Gutwald (bass), the band started in Detroit's DIY scene, playing in warehouses and makeshift venues. They've since toured widely in North America and Europe, supporting acts like The Murlocs, Metric, Julian Casablancas & The Voidz, Thee Oh Sees, The Liminanas, and The Mystery Lights.

To enjoy your Moonwalks 'Western Mystery Tradition' vinyl, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working order. Gently remove the vinyl from its sleeve, holding it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. Place it on the turntable and lower the needle carefully to the start of the record. While playing, keep the area quiet to fully appreciate the music. After use, gently clean the vinyl with a soft, anti - static brush to remove any dust. Store it upright in its sleeve to prevent warping. Don't expose it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can damage the vinyl. With proper care, you can enjoy this unique album for a long time.
