Product Description
This is a limited - edition gray marbled LP, restricted to only 200 copies. 'Nightfloating', the 11th record of FORGOTTEN TOMB, arrives four years after the well - received 'Nihilistic Estrangement'. It showcases the band's current artistic standing. Drawing on its 25 - year experience, FORGOTTEN TOMB revisits its Depressive Black Metal roots, a genre it helped shape in the early 2000s with its first three classic records. This album skillfully combines the past and present, delving into darker realms and different shades of gray. From the anthemic 'Nightfloating' and the intense 'This Sickness Withered My Heart' to the complex yet haunting 'A Chill That You Can't Taint' and 'Unsafe Spaces', the band also surprises with the dungeon - synth style of 'Drifting' and the 10 - minute epic 'A Despicable Gift'. It creates an uncompromising yet refreshing album, setting itself apart from other bands. The album sounds quintessentially like FORGOTTEN TOMB from start to finish. The cover art, hand - drawn by Greek artist Satta La Main Verte, perfectly matches the record's mood and lyrical themes. These themes follow the band's acerbic tradition, covering various topics from self - reflection to misanthropic aggression. The band is proud of this new work, especially as it coincides with their 25th anniversary. The album was recorded at Elfo Studio in Italy from August 2023 to January 2024, produced by Daniele Mandelli and FORGOTTEN TOMB. Mixed by Daniele Mandelli, Ferdinando Marchisio, and Alessandro Comerio, and mastered by Davide Tavecchia at Twilight Studio in February 2024. Tracklisting: 1. Nightfloating 2. A Chill That You Can't Taint 3. This Sickness Withered My Heart 4. Unsafe Spaces 5. Drifting 6. A Despicable Gift
