Limited to just 300 hand-numbered copies, this 12-inch color-in-color vinyl comes with an insert. 'Decline of the I' combines multifaceted post-black metal with thought - provoking lyrics exploring existential philosophy. Hailing from Paris, France, the band was founded by AK, an experienced musician with a long list of past and current projects like Vorkreist, Merrimack, and more. 'Decline of the I' is his most personal work yet. The band's first three albums were inspired by French surgeon and neurologist Henri Laborit, but the new album 'Johannes' takes a different path, drawing inspiration from Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and starting a new trilogy. All music and lyrics are by AK, who also recorded guitars, keyboards, and some vocals. He's joined by SI on vocals, AD on bass, and SK on drums. Drums were recorded at Hybreed Studios, known for works by Temple Of Baal and others, while other instruments were recorded at a private home - studio. The album was mixed at Drudenhaus, famous for working with Alcest and more. Dehn Sora created the cover art, and David Fitt took new band photos. Tracklist: 1. A Selfish Star; 2. The Veil of Splendid Lies; 3. Act of Faith; 4. Tethering the Transient; 5. Dieu Vide.
