Product Description

Hailing from Trondheim, Norway, Arabs in Aspic has been the leading force of 70s-inspired progressive rock and proto-hardrock in mid-Norway for the past 15 years. Their sound is a delightful blend of thunderous guitars and drums, warm 12-string acoustics, funky bass and percussion, wailing Hammond organs, soft Rhodes, Mellotrons, and 70s synths, all topped with rich vocal harmonies. After the release of “Far Out in Aradabia,” the band played numerous shows. They were so impressed by Hammond virtuoso Stig Arve Jørgensen's performance of “Hocus Pocus” by Focus that they recruited him for keys and backing vocals. This addition made their new material more technical and progressive. In many ways, the 2010 album “Strange Frame of Mind” serves as a bridge between the early Arabs in Aspic and the band we know today. The band went through significant changes and took a hiatus for a couple of years. With Erik Paulsen joining on bass, their sound shifted to a more progressive and classic 70s style. The album was recorded at Studio Studio, owned by TNT guitarist Ronnie Le Tekrø. However, they were unhappy with the mastering done by someone who wanted them to sound like an 80s power metal band. So, the album has been expertly re-mastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo. This album has been out of print for a long time, and now it's finally getting a proper re-release. It's an officially licensed Arabs in Aspic merchandise in a gatefold LP format. Don't miss out!

To enjoy this Arabs in Aspic vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is set up correctly. Gently place the record on the turntable, and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the lead-in groove. Sit back and let the music play. When you're done, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest. To keep your LP in good condition, always handle it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. Store it upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they can damage the vinyl. Enjoy this classic 70s progressive rock album for years to come!
