Product Description
This is a limited edition galaxy LP, with only 300 hand - numbered copies available. 'Origin' was recorded, engineered, and mixed at MK2 Recording Studio by the band's drummer, Davide Billia (formerly of Hour Of Penance and Beheaded). It was mastered at Hertz Studio by Wojtek Wieslawski, who has worked with well - known bands like Vader, Behemoth, and Decapitated. The cover artwork and layout were designed by Stefano Mattioni. The album features guest appearances from Mick Montaguti of Electrocution, Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth, and Dallas Toler - Wade of Narcotic Wasteland (formerly of Nile). Antropofagus plays complex, technical, and brutal death metal. The band started in the late nineties, taking inspiration from bands such as Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Deeds Of Flesh. Before 'Origin', their only albums were 'No Waste Of Flesh' (1999), 'Architecture of Lust' (2012), and 'M.O.R.T.E.' (2017), even though they've been around for nearly a quarter - century. Besides Davide Billia on drums, the album includes new vocalist Paolo Chiti, long - time guitarist and co - founder Francesco 'Meatgrinder' Montesanti, and bassist Jacopo Rossi of Dark Lunacy. Francesco Montesanti considers 'Origin' the band's most complete album so far. He's satisfied with the overall work, from the album's structure to the production curated by Davide Billia at MK2 studios. The pandemic gave them time to work at their own pace, and they reached a new level in arranging the tracks. The album is fast - paced and maintains its energy throughout. The cover and artwork by Stefano Mattioni 'Viron 2.0' use computer graphics and are expected to be their best yet, representing a modern band that stays true to death metal roots. Debuting vocalist and lyricist Paolo Chiti drew inspiration from various sources like Lovecraft's Necronomicon, Sumerian demonology, Egyptian mythology, and classic and modern horror films for the album's lyrics. He's proud of his vocal performance and hopes to please old - school fans and attract new ones. Tracklisting: 1. Origin 2. Downward the Spiral 3. While Nothingness Slithers 4. Oppressed Suffering 5.
