Oak, a Norwegian progressive pop/rock band, started as a folk - rock duo. The four band members have diverse musical backgrounds, ranging from classical piano to electronica, prog - and hard - rock, with influences from the alternative scene and progressive rock. This blend has crafted a distinct and unique sound. Combining their great musical talent with a goal of reaching a wide audience, they released their debut album 'Lighthouse' in 2013. Five years later, they returned with the amazing follow - up 'False Memory Archive'. This album is a natural extension of 'Lighthouse', with several subtle nods. Meticulously produced, it makes greater use of electronics and low bass frequencies. It's darker and more groovy than its predecessor, yet still retains the familiar Oak sound.
