Product Description
For fans of heavy metal bands like Fifth Angel, Tyrant, Shok Paris, Malice, and Omen. This is the 43rd installment of the Bootcamp Series. N.M.E formed in Pittsburgh, PA in the mid - ’80s with a solid lineup including guitarists Michael Weldon and Brian Keruskin, bassist Chuck Robinson, drummer Dave Snyder, and vocalist Jirus. From mid - 1987 to July 1988, they spent a year perfecting their hard - charging heavy metal tunes. They recorded nine songs at Space Station Studios in Uniontown, PA, originally meant for a full - length album titled The End of Innocence. However, it was only released in limited quantities on dubbed cassettes with handwritten labels. Before the end of the year, N.M.E went back to the studio to record two new tracks: “R.I.P.” and “Wicked Child.” The band built a cult following through their intense live performances, opening for big names like Crimson Glory, Dirty Looks, Dream Theater, Metal Church, Testament, and Vio - lence. They even got their music featured in the 1989 horror movie Heartstopper, but lineup changes ended their productive run. Now, 30 years later, Divebomb Records is finally releasing The End of Innocence. The nine - song sessions are fully remixed from the 1988 original reels, and it also includes “Vengeance is Mine,” “R.I.P.,” and “Wicked Child.” Mastered by Greg McLaughlin and Chuck Robinson at Shore Studios, the CD makes these underground legends sound better than ever. It comes with a detailed booklet featuring a retrospective interview with Chuck Robinson and Dave Snyder. A must - have for heavy metal fans!
