Nest Egg, a three - piece band hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, characterizes their heavy - headed and kosmische psych - rock outbursts as'mood music for nihilists'. After releasing several tapes and singles, in 2015, they launched their debut album 'Respectable'. This record established their minimalist kraut - punk jams as one of the most thrilling new musical exports in the United States. Three years later, the band set sail for international music waters. They collaborated with Fuzz Club to release their second album, 'Nothingness Is Not A Curse', which came out officially on April 13th in both vinyl and digital formats. Similar to Moon Duo or Follakzoid, the new album takes Nest Egg on a wild ride into a universe of cosmic repetition, trippy drones, swirling analogue synths, and deafening guitars. The driving force of krautrock energy remains intense throughout. The band revealed that they mainly recorded 'Nothingness Is Not A Curse' back in 2016 and wrapped it up last year. They're extremely excited about its release on Fuzz Club. The songs, mostly written a couple of years ago, cover a wide range of themes, from spending time outdoors to other interesting topics.
