Formed in 2016, HENRY KANE is the solo project of Jonny Pettersson, who's also part of well - known bands like Heads For The Dead, Wombbath, Massacre, Rotpit, and more. With an extensive list of previous bands on his resume, Pettersson started this project to mark the twentieth anniversary of his first demo. Rooted in punk and grindcore, these genres form the foundation of HENRY KANE's sound. But with each release, the band has blended in various extreme styles that have influenced Pettersson. In 2017, HENRY KANE dropped its debut album, 'Den Förstörda Människans Rike', via Transcending Obscurity Records. That same year, it also released a split LP with Prolefeed on Wooaaargh. Then, in 2020, the second album, 'Age Of The Idiot', came out on Transcending Obscurity. Now, HENRY KANE presents its highly infectious third album, 'Circle Of Pain'. The seven powerful tracks on this album take the band's sound into new areas. It combines D - beat - inspired punk and crust influences with a more metallic style. Dreary melodies and blackened atmospheres seep into a harsh bed of modern - sounding metallic grindcore and crust - infused death metal. This album is sure to attract fans of Martyrdöd, Wolfbrigade, Disfear, Anaal Nathrakh, Phobia, and Nasum. Jonny Pettersson recorded, mixed, and mastered 'Circle Of Pain' at Studio Unbound, playing all the instruments himself. The album is finished off with cover art by Fredrik Ringström.
