Product Description
For fans of Voivod, DBC, Atheist, Gorguts, Coroner. In the mid-1980s in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, Disciples Of Power emerged as the brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Hart Bachmier. He led the band through over a decade filled with demo recordings, record label troubles, lineup changes, and four full-length albums - Power Trap, Ominous Prophecy, Invincible Enemy, and Mechanikill - before the band disbanded in the late 1990s. During this time, Bachmier evolved his high-speed tech-thrash style towards a more death metal - leaning approach. In the early 1990s, he even took a Greyhound bus across Canada, selling band merchandise from suitcases to promote Disciples Of Power. The band's live reputation got a boost by opening for legends like Annihilator, Anvil, Exciter, Forbidden, Razor, Sacred Reich, and many others. After a failed recording contract with Cargo Records and parting ways with Fringe Product after two albums, Bachmier founded his own label, Mindt Gash Records, and continued self - releasing the band's music. When the band reformed in the early 2000s, they released their fifth and so - far final album, In Dust We Trust. Despite being an under - the - radar 'black sheep' in the band's catalog, it features some of their most memorable and well - produced progressive and technical death/thrash compositions. Now, over 15 years later, Divebomb Records is proud to re - introduce this underrated gem. Remastered by Jamie King at The Basement Recording, this edition of In Dust We Trust comes with reimagined cover art by Steven R. Cobb and a 16 - page booklet with lyrics, photos, and an in - depth retrospective interview with Hart Bachmier himself. It's a must - have for fans, made by fans!
