Arabs in Aspic Progeria (CD) CD

Arabs in Aspic, hailing from Trondheim, Norway, has been the leading force of 70s-inspired progressive and proto-hard rock in mid-Norway for 15 years. Their sound is a great blend of loud, heavy guitars and drums, 12-string acoustics, funky bass and percussion, screaming Hammond organs, soft Rhodes, Mellotrons, and 70s synths, all topped with rich vocal harmonies. The band's debut was the mini-album 'Progeria', released on CD in 2003. In the early days, their music combined the psychedelic space rock of Hawkwind with the heaviness of early Black Sabbath. They were very active live in the Trondheim area and had recorded many demos. Their rehearsal space was at the Hells Angels' clubhouse in Trondheim, which the police weren't happy about as some members were semi-pro ski jumpers. Now, only Jostein Smeby and Eskil Nyhus remain from the original lineup, and Tommy Ingebrigtsen and Terje Nyhus have started The Flying Norsemen, an Arabs in Aspic tribute band. 'Progeria' has been re-mastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo. It's been out of print for a long time, and now it's finally getting a proper re-release. This is an officially licensed Arabs in Aspic CD in a Jewel Case. Enjoy the music!
