This is a limited - edition cassette, with only 200 copies available. 'Origin', the album by Antropofagus, is a masterpiece of complex, technical, and brutal death metal. It was recorded, engineered, and mixed at MK2 Recording Studio by the band's drummer, Davide Billia (formerly of Hour Of Penance and Beheaded). The mastering was done at Hertz Studio by Wojtek Wieslawski, known for his work with bands like Vader, Behemoth, and Decapitated. Stefano Mattioni designed the eye - catching cover artwork and layout. The album features guest appearances from Mick Montaguti of Electrocution, Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth, and Dallas Toler - Wade of Narcotic Wasteland and ex - Nile. Antropofagus, a band inspired by Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Deeds Of Flesh, formed nearly a quarter - century ago. Before 'Origin', their only albums were 'No Waste Of Flesh' (1999), 'Architecture of Lust' (2012), and 'M.O.R.T.E.' (2017). This album has a new lineup with vocalist Paolo Chiti, guitarist and co - founder Francesco 'Meatgrinder' Montesanti, and bassist Jacopo Rossi of Dark Lunacy. Francesco Montesanti believes 'Origin' is the band's most complete album to date. Thanks to the pandemic, they had the time to work at their own pace and reached a new level in track arrangement. The album is fast - paced and maintains its energy throughout. Paolo Chiti, the debuting vocalist and lyricist, was inspired by various sources such as Lovecraft's Necronomicon, different mythologies, and classic and modern horror films. He's proud of his vocal performance and hopes to please both old and new fans. The tracklist includes 'Origin', 'Downward the Spiral', 'While Nothingness Slithers', and more.
