Product Description
This is a clear LP, strictly limited to only 300 copies. 'Nightfloating', the 11th record from FORGOTTEN TOMB, arrives four years after the well - received 'Nihilistic Estrangement'. It offers a perfect snapshot of the band's current artistic stance. Drawing on their 25 - year experience, FORGOTTEN TOMB revisits its Depressive Black Metal roots - a genre they helped pioneer in the early 2000s with their first three classic records. This album masterfully blends the past and present, delving into darker realms and exploring various shades of gray. The album features atmospheric tracks like the anthemic title - track and the intense 'This Sickness Withered My Heart', as well as complex yet harrowing songs such as 'A Chill That You Can't Taint' and 'Unsafe Spaces'. There's also a surprising dungeon - synth detour in 'Drifting' and the 10 - minute epic 'A Despicable Gift'. From start to finish, 'Nightfloating' unmistakably sounds like FORGOTTEN TOMB. The stunning cover art is hand - drawn by Greek artist Satta La Main Verte, perfectly matching the record's mood and lyrical themes. These themes follow the band's caustic tradition, covering subjects from introspective musings to all - out misanthropic aggression. FORGOTTEN TOMB said, 'We're really proud of this new record. It's been a lot of hard work, and releasing it during our 25th anniversary makes it even more special. It's a classic Forgotten Tomb sound with a fresh take on the subject. There are so many details in the tracks for our fans to discover.' The album was recorded at Elfo Studio in Italy from August 2023 to January 2024, produced by Daniele Mandelli and FORGOTTEN TOMB. Daniele Mandelli, Ferdinando Marchisio, and Alessandro Comerio handled the mixing, and Davide Tavecchia mastered it at Twilight Studio in February 2024. Tracklisting: 1. Nightfloating 2. A Chill That You Can't Taint 3. This Sickness Withered My Heart 4. Unsafe Spaces 5. Drifting 6. A Despicable Gift
