Product Description
The second DOMINATION CAMPAIGN album continues right where their first one ended. In fact, most of the writing and recording for 'A Storm of Steel' was finished by the time 'Onward To Glory' came out in 2021. Brainchild of Psycroptic's vocalist Jason Peppiatt, DOMINATION CAMPAIGN is back, proudly representing Tasmanian death metal once again.
For 'Onward To Glory', they brought in Psycroptic bandmate Joe Haley, and they kept this winning combination for 'A Storm of Steel'. Jason handled vocals, bass, and guitar, while Joe took charge of drums, recording, mixing, and mastering. Although they haven't strayed far from the core death - metal vibes of their debut, 'A Storm of Steel' is more melodic, featuring guitar harmonies and even a guitar solo, and it's heavier overall.
Lyrically, the album draws inspiration from war stories. But unlike many other war - themed albums, DOMINATION CAMPAIGN doesn't glorify battle. Instead, they vividly portray the atrocities of war, both on a large scale and the personal, intense terror of conflict. Jason's artwork further enhances this theme, giving a visual touch to the harsh, gritty reality of trench life.
By combining old - school death metal values with modern production, DOMINATION CAMPAIGN has created an eight - track heavy metal epic that follows in the footsteps of greats like Bolt Thrower, Sinister, and Deicide. With over two decades of experience, they've mastered the art of bringing foul tales to life in the classic death metal style.
To enjoy this album, simply play it on your preferred music player. You can listen to it in one go to fully immerse in the story, or pick your favorite tracks. There aren't any specific precautions, but if you're not a fan of intense and heavy death metal, you might want to sample a track first. As for maintenance, if you have a physical copy, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent damage to the CD or vinyl. For digital copies, make sure your storage device is secure and backed up regularly.
