Product Description
This is a limited - edition release, with only 250 copies available on black vinyl. 'Origin' was recorded, engineered, and mixed at MK2 Recording Studio by the band's drummer, Davide Billia (formerly of Hour Of Penance and Beheaded). It was mastered at Hertz Studio by Wojtek Wieslawski, known for his work with Vader, Behemoth, and Decapitated. The album's cover and layout were designed by Stefano Mattioni. 'Origin' features guest appearances from Mick Montaguti of Electrocution, Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth, and Dallas Toler - Wade of Narcotic Wasteland and ex - Nile. Antropofagus plays complex, technical, and brutal death metal. Since the late nineties, they've been influenced by bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Deeds Of Flesh. Before 'Origin', their previous albums were 'No Waste Of Flesh' (1999), 'Architecture of Lust' (2012), and 'M.O.R.T.E.' (2017). The album has a new lineup with vocalist Paolo Chiti, long - time guitarist and co - founder Francesco 'Meatgrinder' Montesanti, and bassist Jacopo Rossi of Dark Lunacy. Francesco Montesanti thinks 'Origin' is the band's most complete album so far. The pandemic allowed them to work at their own pace and achieve a new level of quality. The album is fast - paced and maintains its energy throughout. The cover and artwork, created by Stefano Mattioni 'Viron 2.0', combine modern elements with the essence of true death metal. Debuting vocalist and lyricist Paolo Chiti was inspired by various sources such as Lovecraft's Necronomicon, Sumerian demonology, Egyptian mythology, and classic and modern horror films. He's proud of his vocal performance and hopes to please both old and new fans. Tracklisting: 1. Origin 2. Downward the Spiral 3. While Nothingness Slithers 4. Oppressed Suffering 5.
